Besides the beautiful scenery, what I really appreciate about these photos is the fact that they are "untouched." In other words, right out of the camera! As a photographer I still grapple with the idea of touching up or not touching up my photos. On one hand, touching up or fixing a photo seems like cheating. On the other hand, if I am going to compete with the millions of other photographers that are taking pictures, I need to perfect my pictures once they're on my computer simply because everyone else is. I guess you could call me a "purist." My goal is to produce good photos while behind the camera so that I have to do very little when I'm on my computer. After all, I'd rather be taking pictures!
